Dr. Pliszka currently serves as Medical Director of the Clarity CGC Outpatient Psychiatry Services. His research has focused on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and related disorders. He has been involved with clinical trials for most of the medications used for ADHD and currently uses functional magnetic imaging to try to understand the causes of ADHD. He is the author of Neuroscience for the Mental Health Clinician and Treating ADHD and Comorbid Disorders. He has been very active in the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, authoring the academy’s practice parameters for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD.
