There is a light at the end of the tunnel

I am an adult, child of a parent with mental illness. I saw many episodes and violence as a child. We never spoke about it. My mother never got help. A lot of people hurt emotionally. I am a mother of four children. My daughter harms herself, she lives with ADD/ADHD and may have mood disorder. I don't want my child to go through life without help and hurt her children. I don't want my daughter to hurt. I once told my daughter that she matters. I yelled it at her. I told her I won't give up on her. Even when she has given up. I will be her voice when she can't. I won't stop talking because there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I will be her loud noisy light, until she can be her own light.
