My parents were foster parents so it was not a surprise when my husband and I decided to adopt our children out of foster care. I felt that I could parent children with issues because I was diagnosed with ADHD and could understand their struggles, if any. We have 3 adopted boys and one biological daughter. Our oldest is diagnosed with depression, our middle child with ADHD, and our youngest is the process of (hopefully) a full diagnosis. Our youngest son is our daily struggle. We live moment by moment trying to figure out how to help him best. Clarity has helped us immensely and they have been there thought out this process with us. I hope that someday my babies will live in a world that does not shun them because of their disease.
