My cousin committed suicide last year because of a lot of things we had been facing. As it was, she had a lot of trouble expressing how she truly felt and would cut and avoid talking about things. We had lost our dear aunt, whom she was close to, and she couldn’t take it. I remember the night of the funeral; she hugged me and said “I can’t! I can’t take this.” And I lovingly told her that it’s not our choice and that I love her. She cried her eyes out. Later that evening, we got a phone call that she had committed suicide late that night. She first cried out to me! And I felt like I couldn’t help her so I didn’t do anything. That is one for the biggest regrets I have today.
