First, please sign up to join the One in Five Minds campaign. You will receive a monthly e-newsletter with information about children’s mental illness and about the campaign. Then, share the information from One in Five Minds’ e-news, website, Facebook and Twitter with your friends and family. You can also sign up for One in Five Minds events to participate in.
Finally, we invite you to share your own story anonymously on our website. Share how you, a family member, or a friend, have been touched by mental illness. The more we talk about mental illness, the more effective this movement will be.
Joining the One in Five Minds campaign doesn’t have to be a big time commitment. Just join, learn, share and speak up. Simply joining shows your concern and interest. Learning can be a few minutes daily on Facebook or Twitter, to a couple of hours watching a documentary or attending an event. Sharing information from our website, Facebook and Twitter can be done with a click of the mouse. Speaking up is probably something you already do. Simply encourage friends, families and others to be courageous and speak openly about children’s mental health issues.
Clarity Child Guidance Center is the sponsor of One in Five Minds. It is the only San Antonio non-profit with dedicated inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services for children 3-17, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. As the largest treatment center specialized in children in the community, Clarity CGC feels responsible to speak for these children and help resolve a community crisis through this campaign.
If your child is in immediate danger of harming themselves or someone else, dial 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.
